This song is my baby. I first came up with it only a week or two after I got my first guitar. It's gone through various revisions since 2006 but has essentially stayed true to the original idea. Now, over 5 years later, I've finally recorded a demo of it. Everything was recorded on the first take, including the solo. I only did one practice run for each part. All in all I think it turned out pretty good. Not the best it could be, but still pretty good.
lyrics
I think it's 'bout time that I head up north
'Cause I know what the Canucks and the Ruskies are worth
I'm gonna settle in the snow and I'll carve out a dome
And soon, yeah it's startin' to feel a bit - like -
Tundra, Tundra!
Dark days, white as snow
Tundra, Tundra!
I know right where I wanna go
I think I'll head up to Siberia
'Cause it's the sleeping land loaded with diptheria
I'll tell the czar where he can stick it as I make my abode
Or I'll find gold in Alaska, strike the motherload
But I don't need material riches, I've got nature's shine
'Cause the hills and streams and forests are mine, all mine!
A little cabin in the pines near the city of Nome
And then, yeah it's startin' to feel a bit - like -
Tundra, Tundra!
Dark days, midnight sun
Tundra, Tundra!
In the polar night is where I'll make my fun
With the trees and the wind and the ice and the snow
That's the place where I wanna go
To the Tundra, Tundra!
Where the wolves'll always keep me from feelin' alone
Yeah, it's startin' to feel a bit - like - home!
Hundred husky hounds for my dog-team sled
We gotta keep a movin' 'fore the cold freezes us dead
Through the coniferous trees on my alpine skis
I'll skirt the timberline up to the frozen seas
With my pal the snowy owl and the lynx's howl
And all the crazy taiga tigers, all out on the prowl
I'll pick the barren landscape with a fine-tooth comb
Yeah, it's startin' to feel a bit - like
Tundra, Tundra!
Dark days, midnight sun
Tundra, Tundra!
In the polar night is where I'll make my fun
With the trees and the wind and the ice and the snow
That's the place where I wanna go
To the Tundra, Tundra!
Where glaciers hold watch o'er crystal waters' flow
I said, Yeah, it's startin' to feel a bit like home!

Found these guys via a Facebook ad. Nice blend of industrial, goth, pop-rock, synth, and a taste of punk. Think of Nine Inch Nails mixed with A.F.I., with a smattering of Depeche Mode and MCR :) eddielagato
It's his earliest work, but probably my favorite, since it introduced me to his wonderful work. Electronic progressive metal at its finest, has some crazy riffs... Check out his other stuff too. :) eddielagato
